Know The Importance Of Drinking Water For Your Health

It is good you know how drinking much water everyday is good for your body.  A very good example is when a plant is not watered for some time, it starts shrinking and fading away looking lifeless. This is also the same for the human body as drinking lots of water daily helps maintain the inner body system from the blood cells, tissues, muscles and bones.

To be healthy, you should take in enough fluid everyday. When out working or going about your daily activity, you need to always sustain your energy by drinking water to fight thirst. Strenous works, vigorous exercise, running and walking all make you thirsty and there is the need to drink more water.

There are many beverages that entice you to drink in place of water but  unfortunately, they don't give you the health benefit that you will get from water. Beverages are more of calories than water. They make you even more thirsty. Water is plain, with no sugar, color, calories or fat and the body functions properly with water.

Here are some reasons why drinking water is important for your health:

1) Reduces the risk of cancer: As research have suggested that drinking enough amount of water daily, helps to reduce the risk of colon and bladder cancer. Water can help dilute the accummulation of those agents that causes cancer in the urine thereby lowering the time they could get in contact with the bladder lining.


2) It helps in digestion: Drinking  enough water especially warm water, helps the metabolism in your body function properly in the breaking down of food. Digestive system works well and promotes regular bowel movements.


3) Prevents constipation:  As the colon pulls water from the stools to maintain hydration, it makes them harder and difficult to pass. Without adequate water, this leads to constipation. Drinking water adequately helps prevents constipation.


4) It reduces dehydration: Feeling tired and fatigue is a result of less water in the body. This causes the heart to work harder thereby pumping oxygenated blood  out in the blood stream. Other important organs in the body also work less efficiently. Drinking adequate water helps prevents these problems.


5) Reduces weight: About weightloss, water is the best liquid that can help in the removal of by-products of fats that keeps you healthy. Drinking water in regular basis can suppress your appertite greatly thereby reducing your food intake and since it has no calories it helps with weight loss.


6) Removes Toxin Watse: Water helps to flush out toxin waste from the body by urinating and sweating.

7) Helps the Kidney function: Drinking water helps and protects the kidney by diluting salt and minerals in urine. This process helps prevent kidney stones.

8) Keeps natural Ph balance: Water can help maintain the  human body neutral Ph 7 range in order to function properly. So, drinking water helps maintain your skin ph balance.

9) Stops puffiness: Drinking lots of water keeps the skin from retaining fluid  making  it puffy or swollen.

10) Gives radiant skin: Drinking water on a regular base helps keep skin hydrated, increases elastisity, making the skin look radiant and fresh.

11) Hair and nail growth: Regular intake of water helps in the rapid growth of hair and nails.

12) Blood circulation: Drinking water helps in normal blood circulation from head to toe. Water helps to flush away fat and calorie fluid giving the blood fresh and clean fluid.

How To Drink Water In Regular Basis;

  • Take a bottled water with you whenever you go out. In this way you can relive your thirst without going for beverages or soft drinks.
  • There are fruits and vegetables like water melon, celery and pineapples that contain water, eat them  in place of beverages.
  • Drinking 8 glasses and above of water daily is good for your health. 
  • Though some doctors say too much of water could be bad for the body, drinking water is still an important fluid for detoxifying the body. Consulting a doctor for any doubt is never a bad idea.
